STUDENT HELP POINT LEADERS

“Student Help Points” were created as a means to provide the students with two services:

  1. Students can receive help at all times, either from the instructor/teacher, or from another classmate.
  2. Student who are able to quickly grasp concepts/instruction can help out their classmates by providing their own guided instruction (for classmates that need the instruction).

The incentive to help provides the Digital Art class with a unique, teacher-student working in environment in which everyone is a participant in the task(s) at hand.   A student can earn up to TWO help points on days when LJ Module Assignments & Photoshop work is given, and ONE point on Photoshop workdays.

Students who help are dedicating their time and expertise should be rewarded; thus, here are the student benefits for helping:

  • 1 Student Help point for each day (Photoshop Help)
  • 2 Student Help points for each day a student assists with BOTH Photoshop and LJ Module work.
  • Each point is recorded and added to the “Student Help Point Leaders” log (see links above for specific classes).  The points are added throughout the quarter and CAN BE USED TO ADD TO THE STUDENT’S POINT TOTALS (Class Grade) AT ANY TIME!!!  Once the points are used, they are gone.  Students can also save their points to add to their end of quarter scores or they can transfer the points to another quarter.

POINT TOTAL LEADER PRIZES:

The student(s) who earn the highest number of help point receive two boxes (as chosen by the student) of Little Debbie treats!
